Vegan Pepper Steak

- 200 grams rehydrated soy curls
- 1 Tbsp cornstarch
- 1 Tbsp cooking oil
- 4 green bell peppers very thinly sliced
- 100 grams bamboo shoot boiled and thinly sliced (see Ingredient Notes)
for the sauce
- 2 Tbsp vegan Worcestershire sauce
- 1 Tbsp mirin
- 1 Tbsp sake
- 2 tsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp cane sugar
- 2 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp ginger grated
Combine all the ingredients for the sauce and mix well. Set aside.
Rehydrate soy curls according to package and toss in cornstarch.
Heat cooking oil in a frying pan, and cook soy curls on medium heat until crispy, about 3 minutes.
Add bamboo shoot and bell peppers, and cook for 2~3 minutes, or until bell peppers start to soften.
Add the sauce to the pan, and cook on medium heat for 1 minute, stirring until well combined. Serve with a bowl of white rice, and ENJOY!
